Our mission

APFC, which began in 2009, is dedicated to extending statewide peer and family leadership into all aspects of Arizona’s behavioral health care.

The mission of the Arizona Peer & Family Coalition is to advocate for, connect, promote, and develop leadership by peers and family members throughout our state.

2022 Accomplishments

This past year, we have achieved the following:

  • Advocated for $60 million in Arizona’s Housing Trust Fund
  • Developed a 2022-2023 Budget Summary
  • Educated and mentored 167 individuals
  • Provided support to over 100 individuals
  • Advocated for the following priorities: Mental Health in the Schools, Housing and Services for the Seriously Mentally Ill (scroll to next section for our Position Statements)
  • Hired an Executive Director
  • Expanded the organization
  • Held over 26 educational events throughout Arizona
  • Engaged the community and expanded community capacity
