2022 Legislative Priorities
Housing
- Advocate for restoration of the Housing Trust Fund to provide funding for individuals and families facing or experiencing homelessness.
- Promote housing options that help individuals with disabilities (physical, intellectual or mental) transcend into the communities in which they live while assuring that the individual is making the choice and that necessary supports are available.
mental health in Schools
- Advocate for increased access to mental health services for students.
- Advocate for additional Social Workers, Psychologists, Peer Support Specialists and Parent/Family Support Partners.
Expansion of Case Management, ACT Teams and Peer and Family Support
- Promote the use of community services.
- Advocate for increased access and capacity of CM and ACT Teams.
- Advocate for the use of peer support, while advocating for higher pay range.
